Bài viết này xem xét mối quan hệ động giữa hoạt động xuất khẩu và tăng trưởng kinh tế ở vùng Tây Bắc Việt Nam trong giai đoạn 2000–2017. Kết hợp phương pháp định tính và định lượng, đặc biệt là mô hình ARDL, nghiên cứu cung cấp bằng chứng thực nghiệm cho thấy xuất khẩu có tác động tích cực và có ý nghĩa thống kê đến tăng trưởng kinh tế, cả trong ngắn hạn và dài hạn. Kết quả nghiên cứu cũng khẳng định sự tồn tại của mối quan hệ đồng liên kết dài hạn giữa xuất khẩu và tăng trưởng kinh tế trong khu vực. Dựa trên các phát hiện này, bài viết đề xuất một số hàm ý chính sách nhằm nâng cao năng lực cạnh tranh xuất khẩu và thúc đẩy phát triển kinh tế bền vững cho vùng Tây Bắc.

English Summary:

This paper examines the dynamic relationship between export activities and economic growth in the Northwest region of Vietnam over the period 2000–2017. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, with a focus on the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the study provides empirical evidence of a positive and statistically significant impact of exports on economic growth, both in the short term and long term. The results also confirm the existence of a long-run cointegrating relationship between exports and economic growth in the region. Based on these findings, the paper proposes several policy implications aimed at enhancing export competitiveness and promoting sustainable economic development in the Northwest region
